<p>If it is a common occurrence for you to have one person or another who is disappointed in you, decision-making is a key component of handling that issue.  Others who we deal with will not usually say this directly, but will hope that you make a decision, either right or wrong, and not stay indecisive.  Decisions show a healthy sign of life, as they represent you taking a stand for something. One might say that you can either make decisions or let them be made for you.<span id="more-1877"></span></p>
<h3>Indecision Makes Others Think You Have A Problem</h3>
<p>One of the first things that come to some one&#8217;s mind when you are indecisive in some way is that there is a problem in your mind, or in your activities, which you are not handling.  This makes sense, because if you didn&#8217;t have any problems, you would certainly pick one end of a decision or the other.  Next time you are indecisive, watch how another person responds, and you will see that they start to see you as a little more weak than they did before the occurrence.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t want others thinking you have issues you haven&#8217;t yet gotten control over, you have to hit them back with decisions right when the time is set for you to respond.  Decisions can include saying &#8220;no&#8221; to propositions, or adjusting what the other person proposes to better suit your interests, but they can&#8217;t include hesitation or postponement, unless the postponement is realistic, and meant to give you ample time to research or assess in some way.  Any form of trying to add extra fluff time to a decision is what we call &#8216;indecision&#8217;, and use of that will lead to your personal score decreasing in the eyes of those you deal with.</p>
<h3>Watching A Movie Example</h3>
<p>If a friend asks you if you want to see a certain new comedy movie at the theaters, you have a few options.  This is a seemingly <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/1803/trust-your-gut-how-your-intuition-can-lead-you-to-success/">simple decision</a> to make to some, but some can get hesitant here, and those same folks are likely to be hesitant in other opportunities to pick one option over another.  In this case, you could either say &#8220;yes&#8221; or &#8220;no&#8221;, or suggest another movie, which would all be good for you, and your friend would understand your interests.  On the other hand, if you said &#8220;maybe&#8221;, and then didn&#8217;t provide any more information, your friend would wonder if you had some issues.</p>
<p>There are only so many times you can say &#8220;maybe&#8221; before the other person thinks you either have a problem you haven&#8217;t conquered, or are treating them as less important than you should.  Since no one wants to think you are viewing them as not that important, they will default to the thought that you have some internal issues, and that doesn&#8217;t help you when you next want to work or play with that person.</p>
<h3>Think The Way Others Are Thinking</h3>
<p>For the next time you have a decision to make in relation to someone else, remember that the first priority is to make the decision, and that they won&#8217;t be offended in any way if you turn them down, or adjust their proposition in some way, as long as you do it respectfully. <p>I had read Rich Dad Poor Dad a few years ago and the book has a profound effect on me. <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/books/rich-dad" target="_blank">Rich Dad Poor Dad</a> is a personal finance book and it was written by Robert Kiyosaki. In the book, he talks about how we should manage our cash flow and what should we do to get out of the rat race. One particular idea caught my attention and it was the part where he mentioned that he will never fail to invest in educating and upgrading himself. He is a millionaire and a great property investor, but he still consistently invests the money in his own education to upgrade his knowledge.<span id="more-1825"></span></p>
<p>This idea of consistent growth and upgrading make sense to me. If you are looking to <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/586/how-to-achieve-success-in-everything/" target="_blank">achieve anything in life</a>, YOU will need to be in action. This means that how well you do will affect what type of results you receive. The better you are in what you are doing the better the results you will receive. In another word, you are your biggest leverage.</p>
<h3>Investing In Yourself</h3>
<p>Let us have a show of hand; have anyone set the intention to invest in their own education and skills this year? If you had, give yourself a pat on your back. If you have not, now is the time to give this idea some serious thoughts.</p>
<p>Most of us after we had graduated from the school system, we will start to slow down with our learning rate. Think about when is the last time you had picked up a book, attended seminars or classes after you had graduated? If it is rarely, then you will have to get yourself off the couch and start learning again. Don&#8217;t ever have the thinking that your learning stops after school. In fact, true learning starts after school.</p>

<p>If you take a look at people around you who are doing well and successful, you will find that they are constantly upgrading themselves by going for seminars, classes or reading books related to the field that they are working in. There is a strong correlation between the amount of time you spent upgrading yourselves and the success you have in life.</p>
<h3>Ways To Grow Yourself</h3>
<p>There are a few ways that you can use to grow yourself. Here are some of them.</p>
<p><strong>1. Visit your local library</strong></p>
<p>The library is a great place to learn. There are a wide range of books and audio books out there that are available for loan. Another great thing about it is that everything is free. You can also kick start your education by downloading my free ebook, &#8220;<a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/unleash-your-maximum-potential.html" target="_blank">Unleash Your Maximum Potential</a>&#8220;. In the book there will be specific steps that teach you on how to awaken your sleeping genius and start achieving again.<br />
<strong>2. Audio books</strong></p>
<p>If you spend a lot of time commuting, don&#8217;t waste those time away. Imagine wasting 2 hours on commuting to and fro from your work place every day. You will be wasting 730 hours every year doing nothing which is approximately a month time.</p>
<p>Go out there and grab a book from a library, local bookstore or Amazon. Make full use of the time by reading a book. If you are driving or you prefer to listen instead of reading, I highly recommend you to visit <a href="http://www.nightingale.com" target="_blank">Nightingale Conant</a>. The website consists of audio books by established personal development authors such as Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracy and Dr Wayne Dyer. You can download them and listen to the audio books as you commute.</p>
<p><strong>3. Attend seminars</strong></p>
<p>Seminars are always packed with useful information. Make it a point to attend at least a seminar per year. I had attended a few seminars back in 2009 (<a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/1529/tony-robbins-in-singapore/" target="_blank">Anthony Robbins UPW Singapore 2009</a>) and I had picked up lots of useful knowledge. It is also a place where you can find like minded people and start to network with them. Networking through seminars can get you some great contacts and you never know that you may meet someone who will become your future joint venture partner.</p>
<h3>Parting Words</h3>
<p>Tony Robbins had mentioned, &#8220;If you are not growing, you are dying.&#8221; There are only 2 ways on a ladder. You either go up or down. Choose to climb up and reach for the success you want by starting to invest in yourself. <strong>You are the greatest tool</strong> that is bestowed to you in life.</p>
<p>If you choose not to upgrade this tool and let it stay the same as it is, you will only be able to tackle small challenges that only gives you mediocre results. However if you upgrade yourself constantly, only then you will be able to tackle larger challenges that give you excellent rewards.</p>

<p>I have been out of action since last week till today due to the seminar and a fever. After the seminar by Tony Robbins ended on this Monday, I was down with fever since Tuesday and I am feeling much better now. Anyway let me share with you some of the things that I had learned over past few days at the seminar.<span id="more-1529"></span></p>
<h3>1st day</h3>
<p>The seminar was a 4 days event and Tony Robbins held the 1st and 2nd day of it. The 3rd day was held by the other trainer, Joseph McClendon. This is the first time I have ever attended a seminar of this scale (5000 people!) and I totally enjoyed it.</p>
<p>The youngest participant is 6 years old and the oldest is 112 years old. Can you imagine that? Someone who already lived a 100 years came down to learn. You should be embarrassed of yourself if you say that you are too old to learn.</p>
<p>Tony discussed about what actually stop us from moving forward and the answer is fear. Think about it, how many times have you stop yourself from doing something because you are fearful. You may have stop yourself from changing your diet for the <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/1106/how-to-conquer-your-fear-in-4-simple-steps/" target="_blank">fear of failure</a> or you do not change because you fear that you are not enough. Knowing your fear and learning what is the cause can allow you to eliminate it and take action.</p>
<p>Another point I particularly love is the part on when Tony mentions &#8220;Motions = Emotions&#8221;. He says that when a person is displaying a physiology (posture, facial expression, breathing and etc) of being depressed, he can easily get into a depressed state. Which means that changing your physiology into one that is of a happy person can change you into being a happier person in a heartbeat. Try staying depressed when you are celebrating and dancing. It is hard or totally impossible to do so.</p>
<p>The first day is also the day when Tony Robbins taught us how to do the fire walk. My first ever fire walk, got a few blisters, received a strong belief and I felt a great sense of accomplishment.</p>
<h3>2nd Day</h3>
<p>Joseph took over from Tony Robbins for the 2nd day as the doctors advised him to reduce his presentation to preserve his voice. No complains though, because Joseph is humorous, entertaining and he has lots of inspiring stories to share.</p>
<p>He talked about the ultimate success formula which is how you can achieve everything that you want. Successful people use this exact formula to get what they want and it can help change your life if you apply it.</p>
<p>Here are the steps of the <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/586/how-to-achieve-success-in-everything/" target="_blank">ultimate success formula</a>.</p>
<p>1. Know your outcome.<br />
2. Know your reasons why.<br />
3. Take massive action.<br />
4. Know what you are getting. (results)<br />
5. Change your approach.</p>
<p>Joseph gave an example to help us understand the formula better. He said that an airplane goes off course 70% off the time yet they always reach their destination. Why is that so?</p>
<p>1. It is because they always know where they are going (know your outcome).<br />
2. They know their reason is to transport the passengers safely from point A to point B (know your reasons why)<br />
3. The staff puts in lots of effort to get an air plane flying (massive action)<br />
4. The radar and the control tower always tells them whether are they on the course to destination. ( know what you are getting.)<br />
5. The air plane goes off course 70% of the time due to weather conditions and etc and they will steer it back once it goes off course. (change your approach)</p>
<p>This is how the air plane can reach its destination even though it is goes off course for 70% of the time.</p>
<p>There was one thing that caught my attention when they are showing us a video of Tony Robbins. In the video, Tony mentioned, <strong>&#8220;If you can&#8217;t, you must!&#8221;</strong>. Even though it is just a short phrase, it captured my attention and seems to enlighten me.</p>
<p>Everyday when we are going through our normal routine, we will reject tasks that seem to make us feel uncomfortable. But those tasks that make us felt uncomfortable are tasks that should be done to make us grow.</p>
<p>For example I know that I need to guest post more often, network with other bloggers or do some interview with other great bloggers to grow my blog but I don&#8217;t do that because I felt uncomfortable and I feel I can&#8217;t. So I decided that I should leave those out and as a result my growth is going into a plateau.</p>
<p>But what if I always challenge myself and constantly do things that I think I could not do? My circle of competence will keep on expanding and I will keep on growing and receive more outstanding results!</p>

<h3>3rd Day</h3>
<p>Tony Robbins was back in the 3rd day. He taught us about how the society is changing and being good is not enough and only being outstanding is able to get you the best results.</p>
<p>He also showed us the pyramid of life where we need to take care of or excel in all these 7 areas in order to achieve an extraordinary life. Here are the 7 points arranged from the most important to the least important.</p>
<p>1. Physical body.<br />
2. Emotions &amp; meanings.<br />
3. Relationships.<br />
4. Time.<br />
5. Work/Career/Mission<br />
6. Finances<br />
7. Celebrate &amp; contribute: Spiritual sense</p>
<p>Tony Robbins also had talked about how can we accelerate our growth. Most of us are not satisfied of where we are right now and we are always trying to change for the better. However most of the time we backfire and we end up where we are right now. It is just like you had decided to lose weight but after a week or 2 of exercising and dieting, you gave up and returned back to your normal habits and hence inhibiting growth. Most of us face this problem and Tony says that in order to accelerate growth, you will need to feel pain.</p>
<p>Refer back to the above example again. What if this time round, you are sick and if you don&#8217;t lose weight 50 lbs in a month you will die? How committed will you be to your exercise routine and diet? How much more motivated you will feel? What is the tendency that you will give up and revert back to your old unhealthy habits? Most likely you will stick to your exercise routine, diet and feel more motivated to lose that 50 lbs in a month. Why is it so? It is because it is so much painful (your death) that you decided it is all or nothing.</p>
<p>So people who are <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/158/10-tips-for-blasting-procrastination/" target="_blank">procrastinating</a> on things that are important is because that they do not have enough pain to help them step up, take action and achieve growth.</p>
<p>Tony took us through some exercises to help accelerate the pain that we are feeling if we are not doing _________ (fill in the blank. Lose weight, start a business, score As in exams and etc.) and it is kind of scary as you can hear people crying in the room(me included haha). Kids below the age of 11 are not allowed to take part and are ordered to go to the back to prevent us from frightening them.</p>
<p>The exercises do work because whenever I thought about slacking off, my fear from that night kicks in and I immediately go right back into action. In case you ask, the exercises are 100% safe. <img src='http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' title="Tony Robbins UPW In Singapore " /> </p>
<h3>Day 4</h3>
<p>Joseph took over from Tony Robbins on day 4 again and this time round the topic for the day is all about health. As I had mentioned earlier, your physical body is the key to an outstanding life. Without health, we are not able to achieve anything. Imagine that you are frequently down with allergies, cold, fever or any illness, how confident or capable are you to achieve great results in your life? Most probably you will not be motivated to work because you are lacking energy and drive. Imagine what you could achieve when you wake up everyday energized and stay that way for the rest of the day. How much difference can it make in your life?</p>
<p>There are some few core things that we need to know. First of all, the body consist of 70% water and it is important that we keep ourselves well hydrated. Staying well hydrated means that our body is able to remove toxins from our body efficiently. It is recommended that you drink at least half of your body weight in ounces.</p>
<p>Another important point to take note is our breathing. All of us know that breathing is important because if we suffer from a lack of oxygen, we can die in a matter of minutes! But why is it that there are people who don&#8217;t know the most efficient way to breathe? Take a deep breathe now. Observe your body and see which area rises.</p>
<p>If your shoulder and chest rises, you are not fully utilizing the power of your lung. Which means you are not taking in the most amount of oxygen you are capable of breathing. The right way to breathe is through your diaphragm. Place your hand on your stomach and notice how it rise and fall as you inhale and exhale. If your stomach is rising when you inhale and falling when you exhale, you are breathing in an efficient way. The surest way to do this is to lie down and breathe. Most people breathe the right way when lying down.</p>
<p>Last but not least, diet plays an important part too. Most of us are taking in too much processed food such as canned meats, fast food, refined carbohydrates and etc. Most of these food are not rich in nutrients and water content. Eating too much of those food will cause your body to work extra harder to remove them from your body. Eventually when the amount of &#8220;poison&#8221; food exceed the level of how much toxins that our liver and kidney can remove, symptoms will appear. Rashes, allergies, frequent colds and fever to name a few.</p>
<p>What Tony and Joseph recommend is to take in more food that are high in water content and make them your main staple. So make 75% of your meal filled with the &#8220;cleansing&#8221; food and make them the stars of your meal.</p>
<p>Some people may question how much truth is there in this diet. I can totally understand that because there are lots of fluff out there on the market. Atkin diets, low fat diet, high protein diet and such. It may be confusing but the only way to make the right choice is to follow the person who have the results. If there is an doctor telling you to eat a certain type of diet but his appearance doesn&#8217;t prove the results he promised, most likely you will want to give that diet a miss. </p>
<p>So why I believe in what Tony and Joseph had said? It is because Tony&#8217;s energy is unbelievable and he actually presented for 9-10 hours straight without a single break. Joseph looks like 30 when he is in his 50s. A fat doctor or someone who looks younger than he seems to be and filled with energy? An obvious choice for me.</p>
<p>There may be people who think that all these are simple things that all of us know and it is too simple and a total waste of time to read these. <strong>But knowing + not doing = You don&#8217;t get it. </strong></p>
<h3>Parting Words</h3>
<p>I had barely scratched the surface even though this article contain over 2000 words. It is impossible for me to share everything that I had learned over the past 4 days in a single article. What I have to say is that I had picked up valuable ideas from the 4 days events, make a couple of new friends and learned really valuable tools that I can use to drive myself to be outstanding.</p>
<p>If Tony Robbins do drop by your area, I highly recommend that you attend his seminar and go out there be a kid and learn! Go make some new highly motivated friends, dance and enjoy. It isn&#8217;t a typical seminar where you sit still and learn. You will be dancing everyday, receiving massages, giving out hugs and yes, fire walking!

<h3>Mediocrity</h3>
<p>Have you ever thought about why are there some people so successful yet others are stuck in mediocrity? There may be many reasons. It may be the difference in skills, talent or living environment and etc. But sometimes I wonder are these the real reasons that cause people to be mediocre? <span id="more-1304"></span></p>
<p>I believe everyone have one skill or another that they are particularly good at. Even if they are not a master at it, they can still choose to polish their skills. How about talent? I had read this in one of Malcolm Gladwell&#8217;s book (can&#8217;t really remember which one, I think it is Outliers), it says that somebody had gathered a group of geniuses and tried to train them to <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/939/how-to-use-momentum-to-help-you-achieve-success/" target="_blank">achieve success.</a> However the project turned out to be a <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/918/7-failures-that-end-up-successful/" target="_blank">failure</a> because only a low percentage of those geniuses turned out to be successful. The others failed to achieve much success and some even end up working in low end jobs. Those are the talented people who had failed and this shows that talent doesn&#8217;t equals to everything.</p>
<p>Unconducive living environment may cause us to be stuck in mediocrity but I have my doubts about it too. There are so many successful people who came from poor living environment and probably one of the famous example would be Oprah.</p>
<p>So what is the reason that cause mediocrity?</p>
<h3>The Reason Is&#8230;</h3>
<p>I believe mediocrity will only happen<strong> when one settles for mediocrity.</strong> Talent, skills and living environment are factors that don&#8217;t really matter when compared to your mindset. Those who settle for mediocrity will eventually become mediocre no matter how talented they are. Those who chose to settle for something lower than their expectations will always achieve lesser. This means that you can avoid mediocrity if you choose not to settle for mediocrity.</p>
<h3>5 Ways To Avoid Mediocrity</h3>
<h5>1. Have A Dream</h5>
<p>A dream is needed for you to avoid mediocrity as it allows you to have something to work towards to. This means that we are moving forward instead of staying idle. You should always keep your dream in mind and constantly remind yourself to achieve it. Now is a good time to think about what you really want in your life. What is it that you truly enjoy doing that you would do it even if you are not getting paid for it?</p>
<h5>2. Do Things Differently</h5>
<p>If you do what others think you should be doing, what results do you think you will get? Results that are the same as others! So if you want to get out of mediocrity and get excellent results, then do things that are different from what others are doing that get them mediocre results.</p>
<h5>3. Get Out Of Your Safety Zone</h5>
<p>Are you staying too much in your <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/1106/how-to-conquer-your-fear-in-4-simple-steps/" target="_blank">safety zone?</a> If you are spending too much time in your safety zone, that means you are losing out opportunities that can take you a level forward to your success. If you find yourself getting bored over things that you are doing now, most probably you are staying in your safety zone and not doing anything to move into a new level of playing field. It is the same as basketball game. If you spend too much time defending in your own zone, how are you going to score at the other end?</p>
<h5>4. Do Something Challenging</h5>
<p>When we start to slack and want avoid doing things that are hard, we tend to move into a slump in our life. In life, things that are worth doing are things that are hard to do. Things that are hard to do also guarantee you the best benefits. Someone who is able to repair an air plane will receive better salary than someone who can repair a coffee machine. A cab driver will not earn as much as a F1 racer. Enough said, you get the point.</p>
<h5>5. Do Not Settle For Less</h5>
<p>This is the point where I want to emphasize on. If you want to avoid mediocrity, don&#8217;t ever settle for anything less than what you really want. By not settling for less, you tend to get what you want if you can persevere on. Think about it, when you are a child and you really want something, you will throw a tantrum, cry or scream and do what ever it takes to convince your parents to buy it for you. Most probably your parents will give up and give in to you.</p>
<p>How about now? Think about the item you had bought recently. Most probably that is the item that you truly want and you do not want to settle for anything for less. Maybe it is your favorite dress, IT gadgets or your new car? Most of the time you will get the things when you want it badly, isn&#8217;t that right? You will get things you really want it. But you will fail to get it when you don&#8217;t truly want it and start to settle for less.</p>
<h3>Parting Words</h3>
<p>Nobody wants to be mediocre. It is something that everyone will try to avoid it. Everyone wants to have results and success in life but only a minority amount of people will achieve it. You can be the among the minority if you think big, persevere and don&#8217;t settle for anything lesser. This mindset will help you break out of the mediocrity and help you achieve what you have always wanted to achieve.</p>

<p>If we want to achieve great results and be successful in life, we need to learn from those who had been there and done that. Michael Jordan has the qualities to be successful and he is definitely a great role model that we can learn from.</p>
<p>Michael Jordan is a guy who was cut out of his varsity basketball team because he was deemed too short to play at 1.8 meter but he turned out to be highly successful in his basketball career and was known as a legend in the game.</p>
<p>He had showed the mental toughness to bounce back from failure and here are 7 lessons we can learn from him.<span id="more-793"></span></p>
<h3>7 Lessons We Can Learn From Michael Jordan</h3>
<h5>1. Our Own Expectation</h5>

When we expect a certain standard of ourselves, regardless of high or low, we will fall into them naturally.</p>
<p>Michael Jordan expect himself to be the best in the game, that is why he spent countless hours practicing to bring out the best in him. He can definitely cut back on his practice hours and spend his time on other activities but his expectation of himself to be the best doesn&#8217;t allow it.</p>

<p>Failure is part of success. We can actually perceive failure as a feedback and the feedback works as a reminder to tell us something is wrong and we need to fix it. Failure doesn&#8217;t condemn us, it is just Nature&#8217;s way of telling us to fix something that isn&#8217;t right.</p>

<p>In this time of uncertainty, news of recession and mass jobs layoff are appearing a bit too frequently in the papers. The question today is how do you look at this recession? Is it a catastrophe or is it a blessing in disguise? How about jobs? Is losing your a job a bad thing or a good thing?</p>
<p>In my previous post I wrote about <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/430/how-to-change-disasters-in-your-life-into-meaningful-events/"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">how to change disasters into meaningful events</span></a>, so one of the worst disaster many may find is that they are losing their job or the job they are currently holding are not giving them enough security and it may be gone any time.<span id="more-435"></span></p>
<h2><span style="color: black;">Losing Your Job</span></h2>
<p>First of all, losing your job isn&#8217;t really a bad thing.</p>
<p>&#8220;What??? You must be crazy Vincent!&#8221;</p>
<p>No, I&#8217;m for real. The modern world education had conditioned us to think as an employee and not as an employer. They taught us all the skills that are needed to excel in helping your boss and the investors to be rich and wealthy instead of us. Everybody and anybody instead of us, does it make sense to you?</p>
<p>If we are an employee, we are helping somebody we didn&#8217;t even know to get rich but we are not even helping ourselves. Do you ever have the feeling of doing most of the work and in the end the amount of money flowing into your pockets are pitiful compared to what your boss and the investors are taking. So maybe losing your job is not a bad thing after all because this is a wake up call for you to start looking at alternatives.</p>
<h2><span style="color: black;">10 Things To Do If You Lose Your Job</span></h2>
<h3>1. Get support</h3>
<p>No doubt you will be caught in despair when you lose your job. Find your family members or friends who are supportive and talk to them. Pour your heart out and share with them your feelings. They may help you to keep a lookout for opportunities and you do not need to keep the whole thing to yourself. Let out your feelings and get yourself back to your normal emotional state before embarking the journey of finding a new job.</p>
<h3>2. Do not take it to heart</h3>
<p>When the company is restructuring or laying off people for the reason of cost cutting, do not take it too personally. It is a good time for reflection but do not allow this set back to shatter you totally. Believe in your ability and having <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.willitchangeyou.com/so-you%E2%80%99ve-heard-it-all-before-part-2-confidence/#comment-907" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">good confidence</span></a> really help during this time.</p>
<h3>3. Expand Your Every Dollar</h3>
<p>To ensure that your savings can last you through this tough time, it will be necessary to expand your every dollar. Buy things in bulk or get your groceries when they are on discounts. Avoid big ticket items and have your budget plan in place to <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/319/successful-millionaire/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">avoid over spending.</span></a></p>
<h3>4. Reflect</h3>
<p>A good time for reflection. Spend some time to think about your current skills level and abilities. What do you need to do to excel in your field and what are the actions that are needed to accomplish that?</p>
<p>Ask yourself what do you really want to do. Is this job really the ideal job for you? One question that will help you in answering this would be, <strong>&#8220;If I can live my life over again, will I be doing this?&#8221;</strong> The answer of this question would be the key for finding what is the job that you really love.</p>
<h3>5. Update your resume</h3>
<p>How long have you updated your resume? Is it covered with cobwebs? Dust it and get back to work. Update you resume and decorate it with your recent personal achievements. Seeing your personal achievements can make you feel that you had accomplished things in the past and it also help to make you feel confident that you can get things done.</p>
<p>Always remember to put in your contact details like home telephone, emails, cell phone number and fax number if you have it. Lastly, having your referee&#8217;s details ready definitely help too, provided you have good relationships with them.</p>
<h3>6. Network</h3>
<p>Finding companies through the newspaper and internet sites are good ways to find new jobs and it is also important to have a <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.alexshalman.com/2008/10/22/15-ways-to-emulate-a-networking-rockstar/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">good network</span></a> to increase your probability of finding a job soon. Find out more about seminars, community events or your local networks and get involved. These are great places to meet new people and get new contacts.</p>
<h3>7.Stay Well Groomed</h3>
<p>Have you notice that in the movies, people who lost their jobs are always untidy and not well groomed? Maybe it is the negative state they are in and the amount of stress they are facing that are causing them to look fragile and untidy. If you are the employer, will you hire someone well groomed and <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/394/30-days-challenge-to-a-healthier-body/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">full of energy</span></a> or someone who look tired and untidy?</p>
<p>The answer is obvious, so stay neat, tidy and mind your posture. Your posture can tell others a lot about yourself.</p>
<h3>8. Stay Motivated</h3>
<p>It can be frustrating and disappointing when the jobs you applied were rejected. Stay motivated and focus on the positive side that there are lots of role out there in the market that you can fit into and provide value. Just stay positive until you find your role.</p>
<h3>9. Upgrade Your Skills</h3>
<p>This is one of the best time to keep your skills up to date in your current niche. Read up books, take up seminars or attend courses to improve yourself. When you have the skills that provides value, your new employers will have more reasons to offer you a better salary.</p>
<h3>10. Create other streams of income</h3>

The worst thing about losing your job is the lost of income and having the mortgage and bills to pay. <p>Whether it is our wardrobe or work desk, we tend to accumulate clutters in our lives. Clutters weigh us down and it will tend to clutter your mind too.</p>
<p>It gives a feeling that you are disorganized, like to procrastinate and have low <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/363/11-keys-to-double-your-productivity/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">productivity.</span></a> First impression counts, so make sure your boss don&#8217;t ever see you in a cluttered desk. =)<span id="more-370"></span></p>

<p><strong>Consolation Prize: My desk is not as bad as the first work desk in this article.</strong></p>
<p>This is my desk where I frequently do my work and yes, my blog. Before I was typing this post, my mind was cluttered and I was basically running out of space as my books seems to be crawling towards me slowly.</p>
<p>I do have a good filing system, so I do not have letters all over the place but the major problems are my books, magazines and newspaper. As you can see, I have stuffs that are not suppose to be on my work desk such as the medicines and last week newspapers. Behind the stacks of books are my stacks of Newsweek and Reader&#8217;s Digest magazines. I love to read and prefer to have my books near me so I can grab them whenever I need the new amount of information but I think it is time to do something about it before they cover my whole work desk.</p>
<p>**If you are observant, you can see that my calendar is still on Oct 08 (It is November now Vincent!), but if you had not noticed it, stay unnoticed. *wink</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: black;">The Makeover</span></h2>

The work desk seems to be a lot better now. I had left all the books that were previously on my desk into my bookshelf and only left my notebooks and one book that I am currently reading on the table. You can have a sneak peak at my vision board near the top of the picture, so whenever I look up I am constantly reminded of my goals and dreams. The magazines and newspaper that were overdue were dumped and some were kept in view as  I am interested in some information in it and yes yes, I did not forget about it, I had flipped the calendar to November. *smile</p>
<h2><span style="color: black;">7 Ways to Remove the Clutters On Your Desk</span></h2>
<p><strong>1. Throw everything that you don&#8217;t need</strong></p>
<p>Do you still have your last week newspaper or the scrap paper that was meant to be in the waste paper basket on the table? Clear everything that you don&#8217;t need into the rubbish bin and see the amount of useless items that you had accumulated.</p>
<p><strong>2. Clean up</strong></p>
<p>I can see a thick layer of dust on my work desk that was hidden by my books. So remember to clean up and see how clean your work desk can be. It feels great too, trust me.</p>
<p><strong>3. Have a filing system</strong></p>
<p>Do you have letters or receipts that seems to magically multiply on your table? (When do they have a breeding system?) Have a filing system and keep those things that you need to KIV and allocate a time in the day to clear those items.</p>
<p><strong>4. Leave only things that you need on the table</strong></p>
<p>Simple as it is. Don&#8217;t leave your overdue magazines, your 3 years old to do list or multiple pens on the table. Will you really go back to complete your 3 years old to do list or use 10 pens at the same time?</p>
<p><strong>5. Have specific drawers</strong></p>
<p>Have specific drawers that stores similar items. It will be easier for you to find the stuff you want when you need it and it also helps to keep things off the table.</p>
<p><strong>6. Have a system for papers</strong></p>
<p>Have an inbox that deals with reports that you need to read or sign by today and an outbox that you will transfer your papers to once you are done with it. Remember to clear the outbox regularly too.</p>
<p><strong>7. Have a routine.</strong></p>
<p>Make a commitment to clean up your desk or your room every once a week because the clutters tend to come back again and again. By having a routine to clean up every week, you can keep the clutters at bay and have <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/363/11-keys-to-double-your-productivity/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">optimal productivity.</span></a></p>

<p><big><strong>Part 2</strong></big></p>
<p><strong>4. Past Results</strong> &#8211; There are things in life that you will see it as difficult or easy. If you are an experienced writer, you will say writing a book is easy and it can be done with effort or if you are an experienced plumber you will say that fixing a tap is child play.<span id="more-342"></span></p>
<p>Why do they see what they are doing as easy while it can be difficult for others? It is because they have done it before and they have the beliefs that they can do it again. Whenever you succeed at doing something, you will find that it is easier to do it the second time because you have the belief that can do it again due to your past <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/273/is-your-attitude-bringing-you-towards-success/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">success.</span></a></p>
<p>Why do so many millionaires say that making the first million is the hardest and after making their first million they still continue to churn out even more millions with ease? It is because they have the belief that they can do it again because they had done it before.</p>
<p>Before the birth of this blog, I have so many doubts in my mind that suspect my ability to set up a blog and have a significant amount of traffic to the site. My belief at that time was I do not have the technical skills to do it and I have zero ideas about setting up a website. I hesitated for some time and finally decided to just jump in and learn the ropes of setting up a website and blogging. Here I am with my blog and sharing personal development information with you guys. Am I confident about setting up a new blog now? Yes I do! I have now created a new belief that I am capable of setting up a self hosted blog due to the action I took and the results that I had achieved.</p>
<p>If you do not have past results that help to support your belief, you can roll up your sleeves and start to create them now. If you want to write a book then start writing a chapter a day. After you know you can write a chapter and you know that you are capable of doing it all over again then gradually after months of writing, you will get a book! This can be applied in any areas that you want results in. If you had achieved results and you believe that it can be done, over time it will just become a self fulfilling prophecy.</p>
<p><strong>5. Creating the experience you want in the future as if it were here now</strong> &#8211; Whenever physical environment does not suggest the beliefs that you want, you can create an internal representation of what you desire in your mind to help you shape up your beliefs. Visualizing that you had already achieved your desired outcome will help you to create a new belief that you can do it. Visualizing desired outcomes will also help you to be more excited about achieve the goal.</p>
<p>If you are currently earning $1000 per month currently, which situation will cause you to feel more passionate and enthusiastic about waking up?</p>
<p><strong>A. </strong>I am going to earn $1000 this month!</p>
<p>or</p>
<p><strong>B. </strong>I am going to earn $10,000 this month!</p>
<p>The answer is obviously <strong>B</strong>!</p>
<p><big><strong>Summarizing</strong></big></p>
<p>We have the power to change our quality of life. If you are not happy about where you are today, you can make the choice and effort to change it. Changing your beliefs is the <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/132/baby-steps-to-success/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">first step</span></a> to success as where we are today is largely due to our beliefs. Let me give you an example.</p>
<p>A student was told that he is a bad student. If he believe that he is a failure as a student, do you think that he will try his best to excel in his studies? Probably not. He had already signed up for failure and in his mind he will be thinking why bother to work hard when he knew that he was going to fail in his studies?</p>
<p>What if he believe that he is an exceptional student? Will he wake up excited and passionate about his studies knowing that he can grab all those distinctions and merits. Will he tap into his inner resources and use it to the fullest potential to achieve his goals? Will he still take half hearted steps? I believe this time round, he will be excited and passionate to be able to achieve excellence in his studies.</p>
<p>In order to tap into our deep inner resources, we need to believe that we can achieve our desired results. This in turn will unlock our inner resources (it is powerful beyond what we can imagine) to achieve our desired results.</p>
<p>You may be asking, even if you had changed your beliefs into empowering one, does that mean that you are bound to be <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/273/is-your-attitude-bringing-you-towards-success/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">successful at all times?</span></a> Probably not, there will definitely be failures along the way but if you maintain your empowering beliefs and keep on taking action, success will be found eventually.</p>
<p>Success breed success and keep the momentum going and having empowering beliefs is the first step towards success.</p>
<p>So what are your negative beliefs? List 5 of them down and replace the 5 negative beliefs with empowering beliefs today to see positive results in your life.</p>

<p><big><strong>The Power Of Beliefs</strong></big></p>
<p>What are beliefs? Belief is a set of thinking that will provide you with meaning and guidance in your life. They are our perceptions of the world.</p>
<p>Beliefs are the commander of your brain and when you think that something is true, your beliefs will command the brain to look for facts that support your beliefs.</p>
<p>That is to say that if you believe that you can be successful in life, be it being happy, wealthy or healthy, you have already won half the battle. Your brain will search for the facts that will support your beliefs.</p>
<p>This shows that your beliefs is one of the most powerful forces that you can use to give birth to your excellence.</p>
<p>You have seen people who have been empowered by beliefs and overcome great obstacles because they have deep beliefs that they can succeed. Your beliefs can help you tap to your deep inner resources and use them to reach your desired goals.<span id="more-333"></span></p>
<p>If you have read my <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/313/do-you-give-up-easily/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">previous post</span></a> on Nick Vujicic, you will see that he is a good example for someone with deep beliefs. He believe that he can overcome his physical disability and God will definitely be beside him to help him. He also believe that God will want him to use his story to inspire thousands and millions of people and it is this belief that help him to break all the walls that are obstructing him and direct himself to where he is today.</p>
<p><big><strong>Double Edge Sword</strong></big></p>
<p>Are you using beliefs to your advantage? Have you heard of the placebo effect of drugs? It is the improvement in health but not attributable to any medical treatments or drugs. Research have shown people recovered miraculously when doctors gave them drugs that were stated to help them improve their condition but the drugs that were administered were actually of no medicinal properties. This shows that the patient&#8217;s strong belief that the drugs will cure them actually help them in their self recovery. How strong beliefs can be!</p>
<p>What if you are using negative beliefs in your life? What if you are thinking that you can&#8217;t be as good as your colleagues and you are always late. Do these beliefs help you?</p>
<p>What you think is what you get. Even if you are skillful at what you do, you can get lousy if you think you are lousy because your brain will scour for information to help you support your beliefs. This is somehow the scientific version of the law of attraction as stated in <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/101/what-is-the-secret/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">&#8220;The Secret.&#8221;</span></a> What you believe is what you get.</p>

<p><big><strong>How to create beliefs that will empower you.</strong></big></p>
<p><strong>1. The role models</strong> &#8211; Who are your role models or do you even have one? If you do not have one I suggest you better <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/284/are-your-reading-enough/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">read up more books</span></a> and know who and where you want to be in the next 10 years. Find someone that you want to be like them and learn from them.</p>
<p><strong>2. Environment </strong>- The environment plays a big part in fostering beliefs. Have you noticed that why is it that people in the Ivy League seems to be smarter and work harder? It is because of the<strong> healthy and positive environment </strong>around them! They see people in the school studying, working hard, graduated and land a job that pay them good money. This positive environment let them believe that it is possible for them to achieve the same results by applying the same strategies.</p>
<p>What if they are put in a bad environment. Environment that have people smoking weeds, taking drugs and fighting seems to take over the importance of studying. Do you think they will succeed in graduating from college? I highly doubt so and I also predict that they will start to learn from the people around them and they will gradually become one of them.</p>
<p>If you are in an environment that you think cannot aid to your prosperity, change it. Find a place that you can learn and improve yourself. If you have friends that are negative and keep saying that you can&#8217;t succeed in life, run away from them as quick as you can. If your house is in the street where there are only disastrous sights to be found, move to the other street. Find a place where there are <strong>positive energy flowing</strong> around the neighborhood and there are bountiful of successful people who will empower you and soon you will find that you will become one of them.</p>
<p><strong>3. Knowledge</strong> &#8211; Gaining knowledge through reading, watching movies or on the internet can help you to gain new positive beliefs. By studying the accomplishment of others, you can create the belief that you need in order to succeed. One great movie I would recommend would be <a href="http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/products/pursuit-of-happiness" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">&#8220;The Pursuit of Happiness&#8221;</span></a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=hiyogo-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000N6U0E2" border="0" alt=" How Changing Your Beliefs Can Bring You Success Part 1" width="1" height="1" title="How Changing Your Beliefs Can Bring You Success Part 1" /> starring Will Smith. It is a wonderful movie that shows how Chris Gardner struggled with poverty and getting rich in the end. The story is based on real story and it is possible to find that your eyes are teary when you see the obstacles he faced.</p>
