Day 24

Another 6 days had passed since I posted the updates of my challenge. This is already day 24 of my 30 days challenge and there are only 6 more days to go.

Things are going well and I don’t see myself quitting on this challenge. Who will even think of quitting when they can see the finishing line in a 25 miles marathon? 🙂

I am weighing 148.06 lbs now. I haven’t lost much weight for this week, only a small difference of 0.74 lbs.

I had stick to the same juice recipe I had from day 1 and I had only tried to vary the amount of vegetables that I add into the juice. Last week, Bonnierose had made a comment and recommended me some recipes and I had tried to add some of the ingredients that was mentioned in the recipe into my juice.

I had tried lemon but the taste of lemon actually covered all the other flavors of the fruits and vegetables. Another ingredient I tried was garlic. That was a killer! I was thinking that how much juice I could get from a teeny weeny size garlic, so I decided that 1 is not enough, so I added THREE garlic cloves into my veggie juice concoction.

When I drank the juice, I just went “BOOM!” It was too spicy and I even got choke a little. I knew that garlic can be spicy but not to that extent. I got a weird feeling in my chest that whole afternoon and I got a life lesson from Mr Garlic…

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover

    @Hi Bonnie Rose,

    You did warn me and I think I still went a bit too much on the garlic but now I know what to do whenever I catch a cold 😉

  3. Hi Vincent,

    Sorry to hear my garlic suggestion didn’t go down to well! I did warn you about the heat 😉

    I think my problem when I’ve done juice & raw food diet trials is that I don’t particularly like sweet fruits, and I’m the type of person that gets cold easily (also, I live in the UK where it is often cold and damp!). So whenever I’ve tried raw & juicing experiments I tend to go crazy with garlic and cayenne pepper to add some heat 🙂

    However, if you’re ever coming down with a cold, I expect my garlicy juice recipe would clear your head (provided you can drink it :D).

    hi vincent!

    well done on your trial! you’re almost there… fingers crossed 🙂

    yes, garlic can be quite powerful, watch out for ginger as well – it can overpower anything else you add into your juice and can get pretty hot!

    here are some other simple juice recipes if you’re running out of ideas:
