The Miracle Morning Challenge

The most important part of the day is the morning. This is the part of the day that will allows you to spend time with yourself and do things that truly matters to you with minimal interruptions.

I have recently read The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod and I think this is a wonderful book. The main points of the book is to ensure that we take control of our morning and ensure that we are able to get the important things done so that we can become a person that success is being attracted to us.

Like what Jim Rohn mentioned

“Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person you become.”

This is something that really rings a bell with me. Instead of madly chasing success, just become the person that success will be attracted to us. The more things that you did right, the more right results will come.

Why This Challenge?

My working hours is around 12 hours a day. The schedule is tiring and I find that slowly I am losing my edge. There are things that I want to learn and also I don’t see myself staying in my same role till the end. There are my dreams of starting my own business and I want to continue to pursue my dream.

With my current lifestyle of spending so many hours at work, the likelihood of me spending time pursuing my dream is nil. Hence when I fell upon The Miracle Morning, I know that this is something that I would definitely try.

I’ve already started my first day waking up at 5am instead of my usual 710am. With the additional 2 hours, these are the things that I did

  • Brush teeth/Drink a cup of water/Stretch
  • Meditate for 5 mins
  • Read out loud my affirmations
  • Visualisation of my vision board
  • Write in my journal and go through my long term and short term goals
  • Read for 15 mins
  • Resistance Exercise for 10 mins
  • Went for a run for 10 mins
  • Made breakfast that includes a scrambled egg, fruit juice (carrot, ginger, lemon and apple) and a salad (lettuce with balsamic vinegar)
  • Comb my dog, feed my fish and feed my dog
  • Read daily news

So here I am writing this article after I’m back from my work at 9pm. Since I’m able to complete all my essential tasks that I need to do to be my best version, I have sufficient time to write this article to share with you.
