Or try cycling. :) I know I've said it before, but if you find walking or jogging uninteresting, cycling might be fun, if only for the the thrill of speed. I think health benefits are the same.

But I agree with Vincent, stay off the sleeping pills.

Till then,

Last month, I have placed quite a lot of effort in building my site and starts to see results which actually builds my confidence that what I'm doing actually works. It is really important for us to track what we are doing so that we can review the results shown and change our action plans accordingly to make things work.

Hard work is something most people are not accustomed to. With the many lure of instant gratification nowadays, the virtue of hard work is slowly forgotten. I have had my mistakes in the past when I believe that success comes with a little effort, I've learned the hard way. :-)

I always love the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) theory. Take martial arts for example; I once read that a master in martial arts say that he only teaches moves that are simple to execute. Because martial arts become useless in real dangerous situation when it is too hard to execute even in training grounds. Totally make sense to me.

Hi Kim, thanks for dropping by. We need to learn to crawl before we can walk. The transition takes time and effort and this lesson applies to all areas of our life. Somehow people try to do this the opposite way (want to walk before they learn how to crawl) and they end up being frustrated.

You brought up an important point here. Taking our sight off the goal can cause us to get off the track. What I usually do is to place reminders around me such as visual board or index card with my goals written on it. It helps to keep me focus on my goal.

I recently completed a book titled The New Psycho Cybernetics by Maltz Maxwell. Do pick it up, it is a great self improvement book.

If you are interested in books that can help increase the finance side of your life, I highly recommend

- Rich Dad Poor Dad
- Secret Of The Millionaire Mind

These are some great books that you can start reading.

Hey Vincent,

This strikes a bell. A week ago I had this revelation, most of success can be obtained with common-sense. The reason there are so many educated failures is because they complicate everything. Same goes with personal development. I think sometimes we get so deep into *leveraging* that we forget that there's actually some work involved as well.

Hi Vincent,

Great point - many people want to take a pill and have circumstances magically altered. I was just talking about this with a friend of mine who teaches piano - some students want to play songs before learning key signatures, time signatures, scales, etc. It definitely takes practice, persistence, and work to become accomplished in various areas in life.
