Great point about how most of us are not really giving our best. I think that’s especially true when it comes to sustained efforts. But imagine how much we can accomplish once we do.

Vincent – good post. I think what it comes down to is that people are happy being lazy…ok, that’s a bit harsh, but I still think it’s somewhat true. A lot of people want change, but they don’t want to do the work or they expect the change to come to them. To make change you do have to put in effort….significant effort. I can attest to this myself. For too many years I really didn’t do anything and I wasn’t giving it my best. I’ve recently changed that attitude and now I’m finally seeing some progress.

Always trying and not giving up is the key to success. Most people can’t give up way too soon when they meet any obstacles and challenges. That may be the reason why they don’t see the results they always wanted.

Success is not a sprint, it is like a marathon and it does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.

Just when you thought you could crawl no further they stuck a blindfold on you and lied to you about the distance…..it is quite amazing how much you can get out of one human if you push the person far enough!

We are far too likely to give up way too early, and overcoming that behaviour is one of the obstacles that lies in the way of ultimate success. Try and try again until you succeed is a mantra that few people adhere to.
