Hey Vincent,

I agree with you that certainty is the mandatory criteria that will see you through your obstacles.

If you are certain about what you are doing and what you want to achieve then this thing will make you reach the apex, because the certainty and sticking to one thing at one time approach will lead you to be more enthusiastic toward your work.

In a nutshell certainty evolves the core urge to move forward.

What if we get stuck in a situation where there is no certainty? After months of working on something it can start to feel like your efforts are not worthwhile. In your heart you may think your efforts are worth it, but without some kind of certainty you are left doubting yourself

Hi Oscar,

Yeah. I'm back on track. :)

Hi Diggy,

Doing too many projects will spread our focus too thin. I took a break and now I'm back in action.

Hi Dimitar Nikolov,

I had read the book too and it is a great read! Quitting isn't really a solution and I do agree it will waste all the effort put in previously.

Hi Walter,

Focusing at doing what we can do best at the present means that we will not dwell in the fast or drift to the future. We have no control over both future and the past and staying present is the way to go. :)

Cheers,
Vincent

The first thing we need to focus on is not the price but our goal. If we distract ourselves from immediate results it is likely we will get a dip in productivity. Do your best and your desired result will manifest. :-)

Finding motivation amongst uncertainty is a real challenge. Especially in today's economic environment. Unfortunately, once a lack of motivation sets in, it can be very difficult to root out.

The truth is, in this environment, we need even more motivation to keep at it. Sounds like you're back on track!

Seth Godin wrote a whole book on the topic called The Dip. Sooner or later, our motivation comes to an end and we must either find a way to renew it and keep on going or just quit before we've wasted more efforts and precious time.

Certainty is hard to achieve, but we must have it if we want to succeed.

All the best,

Hey Vincent,

I have the same thing, don't worry! I think it's a phase all internet marketers go through. With me the biggest effort is SEO and writing articles for links and promotions, I get tired of it after a while, but I just push through because I know it's neccessary, so I try to write to articles for links a day. I have made it a habit to just put a cool song on repeat for 30-45 minutes and get those two articles done.

I've also just eliminated projects I dont really want to pursue and cut it down to just 3 things I want to pay attention to, and one of them is my blog. All other sites and domains and things I started I am selling off, there is no point in doing 20 things at once:)

Just don't give up, take a break for a few days if you need to , where you dont touch your projects at all, but then come back with renewed energy :)

Cheers

I can definitely relate to this post. I am in a very similar situation. The recession hit my own websites pretty hard. So I have been very hesitant to put much effort into them. It is the lack of certainty that is the driving force behind my lack of motivation. Still I'm not quite sure how to change my mindset when things are not going well.

I hear you Vincent. I've been there before. Certainty is definitely important to encourage action. When you lack of it, it makes the action something pointless to work and commit on. I'm glad you're back in action.
